For the bushwalking enthusiasts - Lake Cooroibah and Lake Cootharaba.
Access to the lakes is a 1.5 km walk through the national state forest. Access by car is not permitted. About a 1 hour walk. When you walk past the fire station turn left up the sand track then first left. As you walk down the hill you will see the ranger signs with the walking tracks.

Beach Driving
Double Island Point and Rainbow Beach is an hour drive up the beach, Freshwater, Red Canyon the Cherry Venture Memorial and Double Island Lighthouse are all good visiting sites. As well as a short trip over to Frazer Island.

Beach Fishing
Beach fishing is great with dart, flathead and tailor caught just out the front of Teewah. Worms or pippies can be collected on the beach for bait.

Bird Life
Bird life is plentiful with 2 nesting frogmouth owls living in the trees out the front. Goanna's and other lizards often stroll through the yard.

Car Spa
Have your car washed before your journey home by the Car Spa just down from the pub on the corner and next to Equation horse Riding school. Water from this Spa is run through a desalination process and sprays clean water through high pressure jets.

Nearest shop
The nearest shop is at Noosa North Shore Resort, Teewah side of the ferry so you don't have to cross the river again. They have most necessary items.

Also everyday Mr Yum Yum drives up the beach; he delivers Ice, bread, papers, pies, drinks and streets ice creams, milk, hot pies (all the good things). He drives up the beach to Double Island point in the morning stops for all the campers then drives back down to Noosa in the afternoon. Noosa North Shore is only 10 minutes away at low tide, longer at high tide.

Surfing is very good out the front or up at Double Island Point depending on swell size and wind direction.

Walks - Great walks
The walk links the Noosa North Shore to Rainbow Beach via the eastern high dunes known as the Cooloola sandmass — one of the largest accumulations of wind-blown sand found along the Queensland coast. download pdf

Water Supply
The entire house is on rain water, washing machine and toilet is on a mixture of rain and bore water. Plenty of bore water to wash your car.

Whale watching
Whale watching is fantastic from the beach with mother and calves breeching and waving as they pass by back to Antarctica. Time and months.
